Who are Lions?

There is a lot more information about Lions Clubs in the links on this website, but some say that Lions are ordinary people doing extraordinary things!

- fundraising for worthwhile causes,

- supporting people with a disability,

- community projects.

Except for our Summer recess in December and January, we meet in the Function Room of the Murraya Student Lodge in Faculty Close, Smithfield on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:15 pm for 6:45 pm. (That means we sit down to dinner at 6:45 after half an hour of fun and fellowship.)

We think we are the friendliest club in Tropical North Queensland, but, to see if we are right and book in for dinner, please contact Lion Shirley on 0400 743 550 by midday on the Monday before a scheduled meeting.

Who are the Lions?

We are people just like you who meet the needs of our communities, locally, nationally and around the world.

Did you know that Lions Clubs International was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2008?

Our 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.
